Employment Rights Law
Charles Yezbak founded Yezbak Law Offices in 1998 to help employees. Our focus
remains employee rights. We assist individuals and groups of employees recover
unpaid wages and overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Over the
past decade we have successfully helped thousands of employees recover backpay for
minimum wage and overtime pay violations in a variety of industries.
Frequently invited to speak to groups about the FLSA, wage and hour law, and other
employment law issues, Yezbak has also spoken at continuing education seminars for
lawyers and as a guest lecturer at college campuses. He is a contributing author and
senior editor of the wage and hour law treatise Wage and Hour Laws: A State-by-State
Survey (BNA Books).
Yezbak’s professional affiliations include serving as past chair of the Nashville Bar
Association’s Employment Law and Civil Rights Committee. He currently serves as a
member of the Executive Council for the Tennessee Bar Association’s Labor and
Employment Law Section. He is also a member of the Federal Labor Standards
Legislation Committee of the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law
Section, the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Tennessee Employment
Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the Tennessee Trial
Lawyers Association, and the Tennessee Bar Association.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s
Wharton School of Business in 1990 and a Doctor of Law from Emory University School
of Law in 1994. Born in Hampton, Va., and raised in Uniontown, Pa., Yezbak currently
lives in Nashville, Tenn. with his wife, Lisa, and their two daughters, Claire and Cecilia.
